A friendship that became KPX
Nathan & August
We’re Nathan Putnam and August King—best friends since third grade and the owners of KPX. Our friendship came long before the business, and it’s still at the heart of what we’re building. We wanted to create something we could be proud of together: a company that reflects how we believe people should be treated and the care we put into our work.
We’ve taken different paths and bring different strengths. August grew up in a family of resurfacers and has spent 16 years mastering the craft. Nathan’s career in engineering, operations, and innovation at ExxonMobil and Nike shaped his passion for solving problems and helping teams succeed. At KPX, those experiences come together through a partnership built on a lifetime of trust.
We want that same trust to extend to our clients and our team. To us, that means taking pride in the details, following through on our word, and giving people the support to grow. Our goal is to build lasting relationships with housing providers and rewarding careers for the people who help us serve them.
A modern approach
to a skilled trade.
We believe the future of the trades brings craftsmanship, technology, and opportunity together. At KPX, that means useful tools, clear processes, and the freedom to keep finding better ways to work.
We invest in training because strong careers and a strong company grow together. We want our people to develop expertise, share ideas, and see a future for themselves in the work they do.
